Why should I choose this ILS course compared to the others I’ve seen?

The RC (UK) Immediate Life Support (ILS) course is the most popular ILS course in the UK with over 100,000 students undertaking it every year. This course is tried, tested and trusted for a number of different reasons. Firstly, RC (UK)’s ILS can only be delivered by a healthcare professional who has been ‘hand-picked’ to undergo RC (UK)’s arduous generic instructor course. This means that the quality of the training you will receive is second-to-none and offers complete reassurance that you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to keep your patients safe.

As well as unrivalled quality, the resus council ILS course is written and updated by industry-leading experts who collectively act as the chief authority on all resuscitation matters within the UK and often provide guidance to organisations such as Public Health England, the Health and Safety Executive, the GDC, GMC, NMC, HCPC and many more. The fact that you are getting information ‘at source’ means that you can trust that it is current, correct and capable of helping you achieve both legal and professional compliance within your own area of practice.

Lastly, as this is deemed the ILS course of choice for so many healthcare professionals, it could mean that if you decide to undertake a lower quality, unrecognised and unregulated course that you might not be as competent as your other RC (UK) ILS certified colleagues. This can create an ‘unstandardised’ level of resuscitation care throughout your workplace and has been strongly evidenced to increase the risk of making costly mistakes that can ruin your clinical reputation, remove you from professional registers and in extreme cases…result in medico-legal litigation and prosecution.
